Ottawa Birth was founded by Sherry Trowsse in January 2014. At the time, the business went by Ottawa Doula Services. After 6 years in business, Ottawa Doula Services evolved into Ottawa Birth Stories with the addition of Birth Photography! As a trained childbirth educator and seeing a need for in-person childbirth education courses in the city of Ottawa, childbirth education was a natural next step. Sherry wanted a name that could encompass it all. Doula support, support during and after birth; education about birth and photography before, during, and the months following your birth. This was when Ottawa Birth was born. Different names, same business.
